Skate boards have been used by artist to get work out there for years, but it seems to be a recent development that the boards are bought and sold solely as objects of art. I find this really interesting, because it make the canvas as significant as the art which is on it. The owner of the skateboard art peace is not only making a statement saying "I appreciate art" but also it alludes to a knowledge and respect of the skate culture.
